Being a champion is a curious thing sometimes. On paper, you fight the best challenger for the title no matter the circumstances. Rarely is the defending champion asked who they want to face, especially at Wrestlemania.
On paper, it seems as if WWE has decided to give Ryback a shot at Kalisto and the United States Championship at Wrestlemania 32.
However, Planeta Wrestling recently asked Kalisto who he wanted to face at Wrestlemania during a recent interview.
You can read the full interview right here. Below are the highlights:
Who does he want to face at Wrestlemania?
“I don’t care. I accept any challenge. Everybody wants to be United States Champion, but the mos important thing is to be ready physically and mentally. For example, I defeated Alberto del Rio because I’m smarter and faster than him. Everyone thinks that they can take away that title from me but I want to show the world that I’ll be champion at least for the rest of the year.”
What has been so far your most important match in WWE so far?
“A lot of them come into my mind, but I think one very special was the match against The New Day and The Usos when I could hit my Salina del Sol from the top of the ladder. I won the Slammy because of that and I’m very proud. But if I have to pick one, it would be against Alberto del Rio, when I won the US title for the first time.”
