For the past few months, the WWE Universe has been wondering about Pete Dunne’s condition. There have been rumors that he’s been injured for quite some time and if he would need to drop the United Kingdom Championship soon. Despite the injuries, Pete Dunne has continued to wrestle and it’s unclear if his injury was just some speculation.
According to a report from RingSideNews, Triple H revealed that Dunne was working through a broken bone in his foot. He’s been resting for the past few weeks and he was a part of the War Games Match on Saturday. The expectation is he won’t need time off, but he was noticeable limping during the match so he’s likely on a limited schedule.

Since the UK series on the WWE Network has filmed its episodes so far in advance, it’s going to be interesting to see if Dunne needs to drop the UK Championship as the result of an injury. The Game claims that Dunne is “good to go” moving forward and he made it through War Games. However, Dunne may not be holding onto the title much longer.
Since the UK tournament aired, “The Bruiserweight” has carried the UK brand and been featured as its champion for the last year and a half. At this point, WWE officials have a tough call to make to determine who takes the title off Dunne. He has been excellent for the company and can be booked as the top star of the UK series after dropping the title.
On the other hand, Dunne may be headed for the main roster since he’s already had a massive run with the UK Championship and there’s more for him to accomplish on the main roster, or in NXT.
