Titus O’Neil made a mistake last month when he playfully grabbed Vince McMahon’s arm after Daniel Bryan’s retirement speech inside the arena.
A lot has been said about the incident since it occurred. Some have called for racism, others for being too harsh on one of WWE’s most charitable employees, and guys like Dave Batista have reportedly told Titus to quit.
However, Titus has been missing in action after being suspended for sixty days for obvious reasons. But recently in an interview with Rapzilla.com, Titus broke his silence and addressed all the issues surrounding his suspension.
You can read the full interview right here. Below are the highlights:
What does Titus have to say for himself after the incident?
“I always believe in all things there’s always positives in it. I made a mistake at an inopportune time. Regardless if it was too harsh or overreacting or whatever people have deemed it, it all stems from my mistake. Whether I agree with it or not, I am owning it. I’m doing what I’d normally do in any other situation.”
Has Titus considered quitting WWE?
“I can go and coach, I can do a lot of stuff, but at the end of the day, I’ve never quit on anything in my entire life.”
Do you think it’ll be water under the bridge when Titus returns to WWE?
