Lana and Rusev Involved in Hotel Robbery

With only six days left until Money in the Bank, The Bulgarian Brute and The Ravishing Russian arrived a little early in Memphis before the go-home show for SmackDown Live tomorrow night. Since the couple resides in Nashville, it’s understandable why they had arrived into the city so early, but Rusev revealed they experienced some trouble today:

Unfortunately, his social media activity is all the information available on the situation right now. It’s unclear if they are pressing charges, or if the authorities are investigating the robbery and hotel staff. The cash being taken is one thing, but a stolen camera could complicate things and might create much bigger problems for the couple down the line.

There should be records revealing who entered their hotel room and several cameras throughout the building. On paper, there should be plenty of evidence to get their items back or at least find the person responsible for the theft. Unfortunately, these things can happen to WWE Superstars when they spend so much time away from their homes.

Outside of this frustrating situation, Rusev and Lana should both be heavily featured on SmackDown Live tomorrow night before the Money in the Bank PPV. Neither of them is favored to win the briefcase and become Mr. or Miss Money in the Bank. However, it’s plausible that WWE officials could be planning a surprise victory for either of them.

There’s a lot of speculation regarding how WWE officials feel about Rusev Day, but it’s very clear how the WWE Universe feels about Rusev and Lana. Their individual pushes seem to be quite different from one another, so it will be interesting to see how the two of them progress on WWE television over the next year.
