Ryback’s WWE career has been a roller-coaster ride of momentum. When he first debuted, “Feed Me More” got a huge following from the WWE Universe, then poor booking and a lack of big match wins cooled his momentum.
WWE tried to bring him back as a heel after Wrestlemania 29, but that ultimately didn’t work and went back to the well for the “Feed Me More” gimmick/
After “Fastlane”, Ryback had a light heel turn when he abandoned Big Show and Kane during a match with The Wyatt Family. His reasoning was to look out for himself.
Lately, Ryback has been targeting Kalisto, and it seems that he’ll be challenging him for the United States Championship at Wrestlemania 32 in a few weeks.
Not only that, but there is a rumor that Ryback will be challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship shortly after Wrestlemania.
According to DailyWrestlingNews.com, all those opportunities aren’t what’s “best” for the Ryback character on WWE programming.
Apparently, there is a lot of backstage criticism about how WWE is booking him. Many WWE Officials believed that Ryback was getting over with the WWE Universe, but creative turning him heel has messed things up for him again.
