Last night’s NXT Takeover: Dallas special was full of big moments and some surprises. We got an extra surprise when it was rumored earlier in the day that free agent Bobby Roode was in Dallas.
Naturally, the rumors began to fly about what Roode could do this weekend. Thus far, he just got a cameo during last night’s show and tweeted something very interesting after the show:

There have been rumblings that Roode and WWE have been talking about a contract. It’s very interesting that Roode would be in Dallas and be shown during the show as a “preview.”
Another way of looking at it is this was all part of the “negotiaing” a deal with WWE because a front row seat to last night’s show should be all the convincing you need to want to be a part of it as a wrestler without a banner.
It’s a shame that James Storm signed with TNA because we could have had Beer Money in NXT. Regardless, Bobby Roode would be an excellent fit with the current NXT roster that is expected to go through a lot of change over the next few weeks. Last night may have been a major selling point to get Roode to sing on the dotted line.
