Since her in-ring debut on the grandest stage of them all, Ronda Rousey has appeared on almost every edition of Monday Night Raw. The WWE Universe appreciates Ronda’s willingness to train and her schedule shows a greater commitment to the company than Brock Lesnar’s. Rousey may not be wrestling every week, but she’s committed to WWE.
At Money in the Bank, Nia Jax will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against her and a lot of people aren’t happy about Rousey “earning” a title opportunity so quickly. If she actually wins the championship, her upcoming schedule could aggravate some fans.

According to a report from CageSideSeats, Rousey isn’t expected to make an appearance or work a match at Extreme Rules. The WWE Universe won’t have an issue with that if she’s not the Raw Women’s Champion. However, that’s the same kind of favoritism that fans criticize Lesnar for taking advantage of. It might rub a lot of people the wrong way.
The audience won’t turn on her after missing one PPV, but her booking at Money in the Bank is important. Ronda is expected to have a huge match at Summerslam, especially with her mainstream appeal to sell the event. If she’s missing Extreme Rules it’s likely her angle for the biggest party of the summer will happen next weekend in Chicago.
The former UFC Bantamweight Champion’s mainstream status is a huge asset to WWE:
It’s been rumored that the match between Jax and Rousey is expected to be short. WWE officials are still trying to protect Ronda while she continues to train. The problem is if she wins the Raw Women’s Championship this quickly, it’s unlikely she will lose it for a long time. A lot of people won’t appreciate that, but it would strictly be a business move.
