Roman Reigns vs. Rusev For the United States Championship Being Planned For “Summerslam”

On Raw this week, Rusev successfully defended the United States Championship against Mark Henry. The Bulgarian Brute got the win, but that’s not what the WWE Universe is talking about after the match ended.

After the match was over, Rusev grabbed a microphone and continued to berate American’s way of life, but that was before Roman Reigns interrupted him.

Reigns & Rusev had a stare down and a quick brawl, which saw Reigns come out on top. It was made very clear that Roman is targeting Rusev and has his eye on more WWE gold.

It is being reported by RingSideNews.com that Reigns vs. Rusev is expected to be set for “Summerslam” over the next few weeks, and it will be for the United States Championship.

In that scenario, Reigns and Rusev are going to wrestle a very physical match that will only increase the prestige of the US title and give it a deeper legitimacy.

It’s well known that Roman Reigns is currently in WWE’s doghouse, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t still be valuable to the WWE product.

The truth is this feud, and a US title run could be a great thing for Reigns, and an even better thing for Rusev who could be elevated to the main event level with this feud.
