Three weeks ago, former WWE Diva Cameron, real name Ariane Andrews, was released by WWE along with several other superstars.
It wasn’t necessarily a match made in heaven because wrestling fans can be very judgemental and stubborn once they collectively make up their mind about a performer. It takes a lot of time and work to change that perception.
Recently, Andrews appeared on the “Stone Cold Podcast” to discuss her release, her time with WWE, and her future in the business. Suffice to say, a lot of what she said isn’t going to rub some people the right way.
A lot was said about her release, but focusing on what she’s going to do after her release is an interesting subject because she brought up being enrolled in acting classes and wanting to pursue film and television.
However, she made a claim that she feels she “still has more wrestling to prove,” yet she is torn because she doesn’t want to regress by working for a promotion “below” WWE.
Of course, she didn’t mean any offense. It was more of a perspective that anything from WWE is going to be a step-down, and she’s not interested in working for local independents or lesser known televised products.
What do you think about Cameron claiming that she doesn’t want to wrestle for other promotions?
