Eve Torres Cast as “Maxima” on CBS’s “Supergirl”

Former WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres gave birth to a boy roughly six months ago and has been busy with motherhood ever since.

That was until she secured a role in the show “Supergirl” for CBS. Torres, real name Eve Torres Gracie, will be playing “Maxima” in the episode “Myriad.”

Recently, she sat down with WWE.com to discuss her post-wrestling career and her new role on “Supergirl.”

How did you get the role of Maxima?

“It came through my representation and it just ended up working out. It was a great match and I was really excited to read about the part. It’s just such a fun family to get into with all the DC Comics TV shows and movies.”

What can you tell us about the role?

“Anyone who reads the comics knows Maxima comes to Earth in search of a mate among the superhero population — specifically Superman. She’s denied by him and she becomes very angry and bitter. We’ll see how that history plays out in the show — every adaptation is a little bit different, but “Supergirl” does a great job with the source material.”
