Opinion: Bayley & Finn Balor Should Do a Romantic Storyline on NXT

The Balor & Bayley phenomenon started when Finn Balor suffered an ankle injury that appeared far worse on paper than it actually ended up being, but the Bayley did this to make the NXT Champion feel better:

Not to be outdone by anyone, Balor added a special entrance of his own to thank the NXT Women’s Champion for helping him when he was down:

Naturally, a lot of fans on the internet have started high school rumors and speculation that they’re actually dating and this is a fun way for the couple to have fun together with each other during NXT shows.

Sorry to disappoint, but they’re not dating. However, they are obviously very good friends and have no problem working together.

That got me thinking about something that could clearly work in NXT. What if the two began a romantic angle on NXT programming and formed a “relationship” that could be known as “Finn Bayley.”

They’ve already laid down the ground work with the fun and games during NXT shows, and the following “joke” was posted to Balor’s Twitter earlier today:

First and foremost, a romantic storyline for Bayley could be the most adorable thing for her character since winning the NXT Women’s Championship in Brooklyn last year.

Finn and Bayley are the homecoming King and Queen of NXT already. The fun and games could continue for them, and the NXT Universe would embrace them together.

After some time, the potential for Finn Balor turning heel by betraying Bayley and joining a stable like “Bulletproof” with Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. How much heat would it be to break Bayley’s heart?

Sure, we could just let to go and keep watching Finn Bayley have fun with NXT crowds, or it could build to something better for both of them.
