Tonight is a very special night in the career of The Icon Sting. He’ll be honored and inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for his three decades of work in this business.
It’s going to be a big night that is much deserved, but just because we are celebrating his contributions to the industry and honoring his past tonight doesn’t mean that the WWE Universe is done hoping Sting continues to be a player on WWE programming.
According to Inquisitir.com, there is still the possibility of Sting getting involved with the Hell in a Cell match tomorrow night at Wrestlemania. After all, many people, including Sting are hoping we’ll get to see him face The Undertaker before he officially hangs up the boots for good.
Recently, Sting did an interview with Crave Online and said the following about a match with The Deadman:
“I want that dream match with Undertaker. I’ve been outspoken about that. The whole world knows that I’ve always wanted to do that so it would be kind of cool to go out like that.”
There has been a lot of back and forth over the last six months about the condition of Sting’s neck, but he’s been saying very consistently that he is not retiring. Unless he was delaying for his official retirement speech tonight at the Hall of Fame, it’s a possible that we could see the set up for Sting vs. Undertaker tomorrow night.
Do you still want to see Sting vs. The Undertaker before either man retires?
