It’s still around. There have been a lot of changes throughout WWE over the course of this year and a lot of them have been due to things taking place behind the scenes. It can be a big deal when someone new comes in to help boost the company up, which has been the case multiple times this year. However, one of the more important people involved is being named in a not so flattering report.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Back At It: WWE Continues Long Running Holiday Tradition
Back in January, WWE hired former ESPN producer Lee Fitting, who left ESPN after 25 years in August 2023. According to the Athletic, Fitting was reportedly dismissed from ESPN due to allegations of misconduct towards women at the company. The report lists a variety of allegations against Fitting, claiming various inappropriate comments against women at the company (as listed in the report), with Fitting denying most if not all of them. Fitting ultimately left the company after an investigation before being hired by WWE. When asked about the allegations, a WWE spokesperson said the company has no comment.
That isn’t good. Check out something involving women which is good:
Opinion: This is a situation that could cause a lot of issues down the line, as there is a good chance that WWE is not going to want to have someone with these allegations against him working for him. At the same time, there is also an idea of giving Fitting another chance and maybe that is what they are going to do. We’ll have to see how this goes, because it could get complicated in a hurry.
What do you think of the situation? Should WWE let Fitting go? Let us know in the comments below.
