Welcome home from home. Commentary is as important of a detail as you can get in wrestling. The people calling the match are tasked with telling you what is going on with the show and what you need to pay attention to while giving a feeling of familiarity and knowledge. The right commentary team is essential to making a show work and now a WWE show is getting one of their best commentators back.

NXT UK has gone from one of the most skippable parts of WWE to one of their best weekly shows with some incredible stuff up and down the card. This includes some of the best European talent around and a few Americans thrown in for a bonus. There are other aspects to the show that make it better and now they are going to see the return of one of their best parts.

According to both Digital Spy and talkSPORT, Nigel McGuinness will be returning to call NXT UK along with Andy Shepard when the show returns on September 17. McGuinness had been doing commentary on both NXT and NXT UK before the Coronavirus pandemic but has not called a show for WWE since March. The show will be taped in the UK but McGuinness will be recording the show from his home in the United States.

He can do this rather well. Check out some of McGuinness’ time on commentary:

Opinion: This is some good news for NXT UK as McGuinness is one of the best things about the show. McGuinness has become one of the best commentators in all of WWE and he gives some credibility to the show. It helps that he is one of the most successful British wrestlers of all time and the fans certainly seem to respect him. Now if they can get him back on regular NXT as well, everything will be great.
