WRESTLING RUMORS: Seth Rollins May Not Be In An Upcoming Captain America Movie

Not so fast? Wrestlers have an interesting history when it comes to acting. Occasionally you will see a wrestler have a breakthrough role and turn it into a career but more often than not, wrestlers are limited to roles as wrestlers or fighters. A top WWE star seemed to be getting a chance at a major acting role but it seems that things might not be happening as planned.

Reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins had filmed a role for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film “Captain America: Brave New World.” However, according to Fiction Horizon, the Serpent Society, a group whose members included Rollins’ character, has been removed due to re-shoots and script re-writes. There is no word on if any of Rollins’ material will be in the finished film.

Opinion: That is unfortunate to hear as there is something very fun about seeing a WWE Superstar appearing in a major film role. At the same time, there are certain things that happen in film which cannot be helped and this seems to be one of them. I’m sure WWE is far from happy either as having Rollins in one of the bigger movies of the year would be a huge coup that doesn’t seem to be happening.
