The big change? We are coming up on the Road To WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to start getting ready for the biggest event of the year. As a result, WWE is going to be putting together the storylines that will culminate at SoFi Stadium in front of tens of thousands of fans over two nights. Now it seems that we have an idea of what might headline both of those events.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One More? 51 Year Old Former WWE And Impact Wrestling Star Would Consider Comeback
Wrestlingnews.co is reporting that WWE has a current plan for the main event of both nights of WrestleMania. The matches would be as follows:
Night One
WWE Championship: Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre or Cody Rhodes
Night Two
Roman Reigns vs. TBD
Reigns’ opponent depends on if the Rock is available for the show. If the Rock is available, he will face Reigns on Night Two. If not, Rhodes will challenge reigns for the Universal Title. It is not clear if Rhodes will face Rollins for the title if Rock faces Reigns. There is also no word on how WWE would split the two titles, both of which are currently held by Reigns.
This could be interesting. Check out some of the possible participants in recent/classic action:
Opinion: This is a rather interesting way to go, if nothing else because of how fresh the matches feel. McIntyre vs. Rollins has not taken place in a televised match in over two years and Reigns vs. Rhodes has never actually happened. That opens up a variety of doors and that is before you even get to the Rock. I’m curious about where things are going and that is a nice feeling to have for WrestleMania season.
What do you think of these possible matches? Who leaves WrestleMania with both titles? Let us know in the comments below.
