WRESTLING RUMORS: Former WWE Champion Planned For Roman Reigns' Next Feud

That would be a big one. Roman Reigns is very close to reaching a major milestone of 1,000 days as Universal Champion. That is the kind of reign that has only been reached a handful of times in WWE history. It instantly makes anyone coming for the title a much bigger deal and now we know who could be coming after Reigns’ championship next in a major feud.

This week on SmackDown, the OC, including Michin, the Good Brothers, and AJ Styles were drafted to SmackDown. According to Xero News on Twitter, Styles is being planned as Styles’ next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. There is no word on when the first match would take place. Styles has challenged Reigns before, albeit for just the WWE Title, in a pair of premium live event matches in 2016, with Reigns winning both times.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes my eyebrows go up as I’m not sure how WWE would get to such a feud. At the same time, having Styles, a former multiple time World Champion, going after Reigns would make for a good feud. I could go seeing these two fight, if nothing else to give Reigns a different kind of opponent, as Styles is quite the unique talent.
