That’s a bump. Wrestlers have to do all kinds of physical things during the course of a match and while they can undergo quite a bit of training to help protect themselves, it can only go so far. At some point there will be something that happens that is not even part of a match which was the case again this week for a WWE Superstar who was being quite the villain.

WWE’s Seth Rollins attended this weekend’s Chicago Bears vs. Indianapolis Colts game in Indianapolis. Rollins appeared in a planned segment where he tore off his Colts jersey to reveal a Bears jersey, only to be dumped out of the stands by former Colt T.Y. Hilton. Rollins was then ejected from the game and went on a tirade as security led him away. This comes as Rollins is taking some time away from WWE, where he last wrestled in July.

This was great. Check out the clip, plus Rollins in WWE:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you see heels do in wrestling and it works every time. There is very little that will drive fans crazier than seeing the home team disrespected and it worked well here. Rollins gets to annoy the fans and then gets what’s coming to him by a hometown hero. It’s a tried and true method of drawing heat from a crowd as it is being a heel 101.
What did you think of the segment? What is next for Rollins when he returns to the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
