A familiar face. There have been countless wrestlers on the WWE roster over the years and it can be easy for them to be forgotten once they leave the ring. Some of those wrestlers appear elsewhere though and make their careers into a much bigger success outside of a major promotion. That is what one former WWE Superstar is doing, and he did it near quite the big show.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WWE Signs Another Former Multi-Time Champion To A Long Term Deal

AEW presented All Out in Chicago over the weekend. As shown in a video on his Twitter, former WWE Superstar Mustafa Ali was at the event greeting fans as he lives nearby. Ali has been portraying a political character candidate and referred to the event as a campaign stop. There is no word on if Ali is planning to sign with AEW. He recently finished up his time with TNA Wrestling.

He seems interested. Check out Ali’s video and his time in WWE and TNA:

Opinion: This is not the kind of thing that you see very often, as it is rare for a wrestler to do something like this on his own. Ali is going out of his way to try to do something to advance his own career, which is more than a lot of wrestlers would do. It is already starting to work as Ali has gotten himself quite a series of bookings on the independent circuit and could be signed to a bigger promotion if he wants to. That’s a good start and hopefully it works out for him.

What do you think of Ali’s efforts? Where would you like him to sign next? Let us know in the comments below.
