Your flashback cameo? There have been countless wrestlers throughout the years and different stars can stand out for one reason or another. That was the case this week, as a wrestling legend made a surprise cameo.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Game Changer? Tony Khan Makes Big Announcement On AEW Dynamite, Possible Ramifications
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a contract signing between Adam Cole and Chris Jericho for their match at Double Or Nothing. Cole had Roderick Strong with him while Jericho had his entire Jericho Appreciation Society. As a result, Cole brought out Sabu, who will be his enforcer at Double Or Nothing and attacked Matt Menard this week. Sabu, 58, announced his retirement from the ring in November 2021.
It was a busy night. Check out the cameo, plus Sabu in his better days:
Opinion: I’m not sure I get this one, as Sabu was not exactly someone who has been on the radar in recent years (if not longer). The thing that I always think with such a random cameo is that there should be someone else on the AEW roster who can do something like this instead. Sabu had a reaction from the live crowd, but it is going to leave some people scratching their heads.
What did you think of the cameo? How will Sabu do at Double Or Nothing? Let us know in the comments below.
