WATCH: Costco Guys Return To AEW, Get Into It With AEW

They’re back. Celebrities have been a part of wrestling for decades and that continues to this day. You will see celebrities of various levels appear at wrestling events in a variety of roles and occasionally they can be quite successful. Every so often some of them will even get into the ring in one way or another. That is what we saw this week as some celebrities were back in AEW.

The Costco Guys (AJ and Big Justice) returned to AEW this week on Collision. After presenting the card to the crowd, the two showed up again later but were interrupted by Chris Jericho. The two sides argued, with Jericho eventually mentioning the Acclaimed. This led to Anthony Bowens interrupting and challenging Jericho to a match, which was declined. The Costco Guys had appeared at AEW Full Gear, where AJ defeated QT Marshall on the Zero Hour show. He has talked about returning to the ring after recovering from an injury.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can draw in other eyes to AEW and that is a good thing. The Costco Guys have a very different audience than anyone else in AEW and if the company can bring in some of those people, it could be quite the improvement. I’m not sure how long this will work, but AEW is smart to give them a try while they can, which is what happened here.
