They move on. We are in the middle of two tournaments at once in WWE, with both the King and Queen Of The Ring tournaments going on. The tournaments kicked off last week and will conclude before the end of the month. While most of the first rounds have been completed, there are still a few matches left, with the results being covered this weekend at a live event.

WWE completed the first round of both tournaments with one more match each during a live in Macon, Georgia. First up, Kofi Kingston defeated Rey Mysterio to advance, setting u a second round match with Gunther. Second, Shayna Baszler defeated Maxxine Dupri, meaning Baszler will face Iyo Sky. Dupri was substituting for an injured Zelina Vega, as was announced earlier in the day. WWE ran two other first round matches at a live event on Saturday night as well. The finals of both tournaments will be held on May 25.

They’ve been big. Check out the matches plus more from tournament season:

Opinion: That wraps up the first round and it’s still interesting to see the matches taking place at live events rather than doing everything on television. Let the TV shows breathe a bit more and give the fans at the live events something important as well. This is a nice change of pace and I could go for seeing something similar done in the future, as it has some benefits.
