Brother vs. Brother. We’re about a month away from AEW’s debut event Double Or Nothing, which might be the most anticipated card of the entire year. The event, which is basically a sequel to last year’s mega hit All In, is going to be a star studded card with several of the matches already announced. There is still room for more though, and this time it’s going to be an interesting one.
In a new video posted to Cody Rhodes’ YouTube account, it was announced that Cody would be facing his brother Dustin (better known as Goldust) at Double Or Nothing. Dustin had been rumored to leave WWE late last month when his contract expired but denied the rumors. He last appeared on television at last year’s Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27, 2018 due to a knee injury. There is no word on if this is a one off match or if Dustin will be a regular with the promotion.
There is actually a story to this one. Check out Dustin’s promo on his brother Cody:
Opinion: Well ok then. I’m rather surprised by the twist, though I can’t say I blame Dustin. He hasn’t been used as anything but a comedy guy in WWE for a long time now and this is literally keeping it in the family. Their matches before have been hit or miss, but this is a different dynamic and that could make things a lot better. Hopefully this works, as the two of them could do something special in the ring.
