A video has made its way to social media, showing NFL legend Deion Sanders speaking with Goldberg. Sanders talked about how the two were teammates together on the Atlanta Falcons and how the team held wrestling matches on Fridays. Sanders said he served as the promoter and asked who wanted to face Goldberg, but no other player would take him up on it. They also told stories about being teammates together in the NFL, with Goldberg cutting off one of Sanders’ stories before he went into too much detail.
This was special. Check out the video, plus Goldberg in the ring:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes for a cool moment, as it shows you how Goldberg is still a star and remembered well by his former teammates. Goldberg has said before that he always felt he was a football player first and a wrestler second and you can see the passion he still has for the game. It is interesting to hear someone from outside of wrestling praise Goldberg, but it seems to be a common thing.
What do you think o Goldberg’s career? Where did he do his best work? Let us know in the comments below.
