Video: AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura Tease Wrestlemania Match

That would be a big one. Earlier this week, AJ Styles won the Smackdown World Title from Jinder Mahal. While there is no way to know how long Styles will hold the title but if he survives a rematch with Mahal, he’ll need another challenger. That challenger was heavily teased at a house show in Florence, Italy.

In a video posted on the WWE Instagram page, Styles is in the ring with Shinsuke Nakamura after a triple threat match also involving Mahal. The fans chant WRESTLEMANIA and Styles lays the title between them. Later, Styles says that idea sounds too sweet and both guys seemed rather agreeable. They had a classic match in New Japan just before they both came to WWE in 2016. Here’s the video:

Opinion: Well that would work quite well. Styles vs. Nakamura was teased back at “Money in the Bank 2017” and it seems that it might have something to it. The match doesn’t need to be for the title, but having Styles hold it until New Orleans would be a very nice way to go. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mahal got it back, but that doesn’t mean I want it to happen.
