They kind of have to hurry up. Thanks to a last minute change in the schedule, we are now less than a month away from NXT Takeover: XXV. That doesn’t leave NXT a long time to get ready for the show, but they also don’t always wait for the regular television shows to get things ready. As it turns out, we now have a few matches set for the show, which is coming up in the near future.
On his Twitter account, WWE COO Triple H has announced two major matches for the upcoming Takeover: XXV. The show will be headlined by Johnny Gargano defending the NXT Title against Adam Cole in a rematch from Takeover: New York where Gargano defeated Cole for the vacant title. The other title match announced will see Io Shirai challenging Shayna Baszler for the Women’s Title.

Baszler didn’t like the result of their first match. Check out her angry response:
Cole does have a claim to the shot. Check out the first fall from their first match:
Opinion: This one doesn’t make the most sense as Matt Riddle pinned Cole this week on NXT TV. At the same time though, Cole has already pinned Gargano in the first fall of their 2/3 falls match so he has a claim to a title shot. The Women’s Title match has been set up for several weeks now and it would make sense to have Shirai finally be the person to take the title off of Baszler.
Which of these matches is more interesting? What else will be on the card? Let us know in the comments below.
