It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of things that can slow a wrestling promotion down and injuries are one of the most prominent. You never know when something is going to be drastically changed because someone gets hurt. The changes can be both short and long term, and unfortunately a recent string of injuries have changed several plans of the latter kind.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Stick Around In A Big Way: WWE Superstar Signs New (And Different) Contract

AEW has suffered a string of severe injuries in recent weeks, as Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley (who has since returned to the ring) have all been put out of action. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, all three were factored into “key things” and as a result, a “domino effect” of creative changes have had to be made. This included changes to the AEW International Title, which Moxley had to lose due to be injured during a title defense. There is no word on when Danielson and or Cole will return to the ring.

Those are some talented stars. Check out the three of them in action:

Opinion: This is one of those things that does happen every so often and in Cole’s case, it was a total freak accident that wasn’t even in the ring. Unfortunately there isn’t much that can be done to make things better. Right now all AEW can do is wait for Danielson and Cole to heal up, but it would be nice to have some plans to fill in time between now and the time they are better.

What kind of changes do you think these injuries caused? What should AEW do in the meantime? Let us know in the comments below.
