Moving on up. There are several stars on the WWE roster and some of them have not been around very long. You will see some of them move up the ladder in a few different ways and that can lead to them reaching a new level. That can lead to quite a nice future and now a WWE Superstar is receiving a new deal after betting on himself in one heck of a big way.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dragon Lee has signed a new main roster contract after being promoted to SmackDown earlier this year. This comes after Lee passed on a deal from AEW last year and went to WWE instead, saying he was betting on himself. Lee debuted in NXT and moved up to the main roster following an NXT North American Title shot against Dominik Mysterio.

Lee has done well in WWE so far. Check out his time on the main roster:

Opinion: This is one of those things that could make a big difference for the future. At the end of the day, this is another young star singing with WWE over AEW and that could be part of a future trend. Lee has gone from someone appearing in AEW to one of the brighter future stars in WWE. It should be interesting to see where he, and potentially several others, go in the future.
