The negative answer? WWE is in a pretty bad place with its television shows at the moment as the fans just are not watching what the company is offering. The best solution would seem to be finding some new and exciting ideas to make the fans stick around, but they aren’t exactly going that way. There was a big segment announced for one of this week’s shows and it could have been big.
This week’s SmackDown Live was advertised as having Daniel Bryan making a career changing announcement of some sort. A promo video showed him saying he knew what he had to do and giving a maniacal look was posted to WWE’s YouTube page. However, Bryan made no announcement on the show, as he tried three different times but could not manage to say anything. There is no word on when the announcement will come, or if it will at all.
The tease is better than the execution. Check out Bryan’s near insane statement:
Opinion: I’m not sure what this was going to be, but it was pretty clearly a bait and switch. This gets annoying in a hurry and WWE has been doing it a lot lately. The idea is to get fans to tune in, but at some point you have to give them something. You can only get away with something like this so often and I’m not sure how much longer WWE can make them work so well.
What do you think Bryan’s announcement will be? When will he make it? Let us know in the comments below.
