Welcome back. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be very easy for one to fall out of sight for a little while before returning later on in a bit way. It can make a difference when someone shows up, especially in a different place than where they left. That was the situation this week, with a pair of surprise returns that helped decide championships.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Positive Sign: New Details On Injury To Popular AEW Star

This weekend, NXT presented its annual Stand & Deliver special, which featured two surprise returns. First, Dexter Lumis returned to help Indi Hartwell win the Women’s Title in a ladder match. Lumis has been wrestling on Monday Night Raw, last appearing in NXT in August 2022. There is no word on if this will be a permanent return. Later, Joe Coffey made a surprise return to help Gallus retain the Tag Team Titles. Coffey has not wrestled since September 6, 2022 though it is not clear why.

It was a busy day. Check out the matches, plus more of the show:

Opinion: These were some nice surprises and it was great to have some names back from the missing list. If nothing else, this opens some doors that have not been available in a long time, so hopefully things continue to go well. What matters is keeping things interesting in NXT, which is often easier said than done. The talent is there though and now it has gotten a boost.
