They Don’t Want None? Update On AJ Styles’ WWE Status

He has a spot. You will often see wrestlers sitting on the sidelines for one reason or another, some of which are not their own fault. Occasionally there will be someone who is sat out by the promotion for whatever reason, no matter what kind of a star they might be. That is the situation again with a rather successful WWE Superstar and now we know a bit more about what is going on.

AJ Styles has not wrestled on AEW TV since Clash At The Castle back in June. According to Fightful Select, Styles is healthy but just not being used on WWE television. Instead, he has been used for select live events and wrestled a match in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH. There is no word on when he will be returning to the ring, or even to WWE television as well.

Opinion: This is a rather confusing situation as Styles is someone who you would expect WWE would want on their television show. He is near the end of his career and you would think WWE might like to capitalize on the limited time they have left with him. For some reason he is not being used though, which has me wondering what WWE might be doing with him when he does get back.
