Another one. There are all kinds of professional wrestlers in the world and some of them come from sports that have nothing to do with wrestling. You never know what kind of athlete might turn into a successful wrestler but there are some sports that seem to have a natural advantage. Now the son of a legend in one of those sports is trying his hand at wrestling for a change.

According to PWInsider.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, Elijah Holyfield, the son of former boxing champion Evander Holyfield, will be taking part in WWE tryouts over Summerslam weekend. There is no word on how much, if any, wrestling experience that Elijah may have. Evander made an appearance for WWE before, facing Matt Hardy in a boxing match in 2007.

Opinion: This is something that is worth a shot as the worst thing that can happen is WWE has one star in a tryout that doesn’t work out. If it winds up working, you have the son of a sports legend getting involved in WWE for any appeal that might have. It’s one of those things that is worth the total gamble that it appears to be and it’s not like stranger things haven’t worked before.
