Bigger than wrestling. There are all kinds of names in wrestling history, but very few have had the impact as Jim Ross. Over the years, Ross has been an on-air personality as well as a WWE executive who had several responsibilities behind the scenes. Ross is a true legend of wrestling, but now he is telling a story about something he did for a wrestler which was way more important than anything in a ring.

During a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross told a story about talking to Sgt. Slaughter in a hotel. Opinion: Just in case Ross hasn’t done enough for wrestling, he very well may have saved Slaughter’s life. Thankfully everything wound up going well, as you never know how things are going to go when something like this happens. There is something amazing about Ross having this many stories and not even getting to something this important before, as he has been around wrestling that long.
