Let’s do it again. This past Sunday at Summerslam, WWE Champion AJ Styles defended his title against Samoa Joe in one of the main events. Their feud has been rather personal in recent weeks, with Joe talking about Styles’ family, including reading a letter from Styles’ wife, saying Styles was a bad family man. They beat the heck out of each other at Summerslam, which means a rematch was instantly in the cards.
Make sure to check out this week’s SmackDown Live results to see how the feud continued.
As announced on WWE.com, Styles will defend the WWE Championship against Joe for a second time at the September 16 Hell In A Cell pay per view. Their first match took place this past Sunday at Summerslam with Styles retaining the title, though losing the match via disqualification. Two nights later on SmackDown Live, Joe attacked Styles again to continue their feud. At the moment, the match is not announced as being inside the Cell.
This is what kept it going.
Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world and while this hasn’t been announced for the Cell itself, there is a strong chance that it will be added later on. Styles vs. Joe has been a very intense, personal feud so far and it would make sense to have their rematch be a much more violent match that allows them to let out all of their aggressions, perhaps with the title changing hands.
Do you think this match will be inside the Cell? Who walks out with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
