The fallout is good. This past weekend, Sami Zayn shocked the wrestling world when he saved Kevin Owens from being crushed by Shane McMahon’s elbow drop from the top of the Cell. It was an incredibly shocking moment and fans wanted to know why Zayn did what he did. Therefore, the question was how many people would tune in to “Smackdown Live” for the fallout?

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live” drew a .8 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.467 million viewers. These numbers are up 8% from last week’s .74 rating and up 6% from last week’s 2.323 million viewers. The show did not have to deal with the Major League Baseball Playoffs this week.

Opinion: It’s always a good sign to have the show’s numbers go up and there’s no surprise given how big of a cliffhanger Sunday’s show ended on. Zayn and Owens have the potential to be big stars for the show going forward and there’s a good chance that they could be a significant draw for a long time to come.
