It’s another thing. Wrestlers have a weird history when it comes to acting, as you will see them dabbling in acting with limited results. It makes sense in theory, but there are so many differences between acting in a wrestling angle and acting in a traditional film or television show. Occasionally someone will find some success though and now we might be seeing that again.

According to Deadline, AEW’s Swerve Strickland has been added to the cast of the upcoming slasher film “Stiletto”. The movie will be directed by Samuel Gonzalez Jr., who previously directed “The Retaliators”. The story involves the sister of a murdered exotic dancer who was murdered. It is not clear what kind of role Strickland will have, when the film will be released or how much time, if any, Strickland could miss from AEW.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can make for an interesting situation, as you can find more than a few surprise talents who move from wrestling into acting. Strickland has shown all kinds of charisma during his time in AEW so maybe there is something here. At the very least, let him see what he can do, as it could be the start of a nice side career for him in addition to wrestling.
