Strike while you can. Last night’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” had some good things going for it. First and foremost, it was up against a rather weak “Monday Night Football” game. Second, it basically guaranteed a Shield reunion, which would be as much of a ratings draw as they could have without Brock Lesnar or John Cena around. So how did the show do?
According to 411mania.com, this week’s show drew a .96 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.871 million viewers. These numbers are both up 4% from last week’s .93 rating and 2.773 million viewers. The show also had to compete with the Major League Baseball Playoffs and its viewership declined every hour.

Opinion: I was getting tired of hearing about Shield so many times last night but it seems that their reunion helped a lot. The problem though is the people tuning out after they saw the reunion. If that’s their big draw, wouldn’t it make more sense to have it air later so that some of the fans night stick around? Maybe the company is sure they can’t beat the mainstream sports (which I understand, because they can’t) but it would be nice to see them not abandon things twenty minutes into the show.
