Cody [Rhodes] took to his Twitter account recently to comment on what he meant by his comments on WWE using the ‘Starrcade‘ name for a pay-per-view and bringing back War Games as a match.

Cody recently made news when he and wife Brandi publicly explained that they weren’t too happy with the company they used to work for decided to re-introduce ‘Starrcade,’ which had been made prominent by Cody’s father Dusty Rhodes.

Cody explained in his long message to Twitter that his father didn’t create the name of the events or book them, but he gave them life, which he did so in honor of Cody’s sister, Teil.

He says he understands that WWE owns the property and are legally able to use them. That doesn’t mean he has to like it. He says that he gladly shares his father with millions of wrestling fans because Dusty has such a beautiful legacy.

It is unknown if WWE will respond to this, but it does seem unlikely as everything is full-steam ahead for the ‘Starrcade’ PPV which is scheduled for November this year.
