She Would Know: Samantha Irvin Kills Rumors About Her WWE Departure, More On Why She Left

It’s a timing thing. There are all kinds of ways for someone to leave a wrestling promotion and occasionally it comes out of nowhere. You never know when you are going to see someone just leave in the blink of an eye, but that doesn’t not mean that everything is as it seems. There are times when there are some important details in the background and that is the case again this time.

Earlier this week, Samantha Irvin announced that she was leaving WWE, with Lilian Garcia replacing her as Monday Night Raw ring announcer. This led to some rumors that Irvin had left WE on mere hours’ notice, but Irvin herself has refuted these stories. Irvin posted to Twitter, saying that she told WWE “months” in advance of her decision to depart.

In addition, according to PWInsider.com, Irvin left WWE in part due to the schedule, which was causing her to be away from her daughter. While there had been discussions involving Irvin switching to a reduced role in the company, this did not happen. Irvin is expected to focus on her music career and is not expected to work elsewhere in wrestling, though it is a possibility.

Opinion: This does clear up quite a few things, as it would have been rather terrible of Irvin to leave WWE on literally hours’ notice. That isn’t what seemed to have happened whatsoever though, which makes everything completely different. Other than that, Irvin wanting to move on to something else which allows her to spend more time with her family is not a bad thing so hopefully everything goes better all around.
