That’s serious. There are all kinds of injuries and health issues that wrestlers will have to endure over the course of their careers and some of them are a lot worse than others. Occasionally you will even see something that is life threatening, which need to be addressed immediately. Britt Baker made a surprise return at AEW Forbidden Door last weekend. This week on AEW Dynamite, Baker gave an interview in the ring, where she revealed that she had been out of action due to a transient ischemic attack (TIA), also known as a mini stroke. The issue resulted in the right side of her body not functioning for a time. In addition, Baker revealed that she had suffered two herniated discs and an injured hip labrum, though she is now cleared from all over her issues and allowed to return to the ring. There is no word on when Baker will have her first match back. She has not wrestled since September 2023.
It’s great to have her back. Check out Baker’s return and what she can do:
Opinion: That is one of the worst medical diagnoses you’ll see in wresting and what matters the most is that Baker is ok. Something like that could have gotten a lot worse and thankfully everything seems to be better. The fact that she is back in the ring and ready to wrestle again is great to hear, as it very well could have been something that we never got to see happen.
