The champ speaks. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and many of them can cause a major problem for everyone involved. While the big issue is with the wrestler getting back to full health, there is also the issue of the promotion’s plans going forward. Those are things that have to be dealt with and that was the situation again this week on Monday Night Raw.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Him Again? Former World Champion Expected To Be At This Weekend’s Royal Rumble
Last week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Jinder Mahal. During the match, Rollins suffered a knee injury, which wound up being a torn MCL and meniscus. This week on Monday Night Raw, Rollins announced that if he underwent surgery, he would be out of action for 3-4 months. Instead, Rollins said that he would be undergoing rehab on his knee in an effort to defend the title at WrestleMania on April 6 or 7.

Opinion: That is a major decision and now we get to see how things go for Rollins. At the end of the day, there is always the chance that he will not be able to rehab his knee well enough to get back in the ring in time, meaning WWE will need a contingency plan. For now though, Rollins is giving it his best shot and hopefully it works out, as an injury would be a horrible way to end his run with the title.
