Roman Reigns Pulled From Upcoming Appearance

We’ll catch you next time. Back in October, Roman Reigns announced that he would be stepping away from WWE for the time being due to a recurrence of his leukemia. The move forced him to vacate the Universal Title and it wasn’t clear when Reigns would be returning to the company in any way. Reigns would be gone a long time, and now another appearance is off as well.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Reigns has been pulled from the ACE Comic Con in Phoenix, Arizona from January 11 – January 13, 2019. This would have been Reigns’ first official appearance on behalf of WWE since his announcement on October 22. At the moment, there is no word on when Reigns will be back on WWE TV, though it isn’t expected to be anytime soon.

Opinion: Really, you have to expect this to be Reigns’ last scheduled appearance for a long time. WWE, and likely Reigns as well, isn’t going to want him to be seen after the effects of his treatment take their toll on him and I can’t imagine seeing him around anytime soon. He’ll be back one day though and it’s going to be a really cool moment when he finally gets to do what he loves again.
