Almost done? AEW has changed the wrestling world in a major way as there is now a new place for prominent wrestlers to go if they leave or do not want to go to WWE. As a result, there are several former WWE names in the promotion. It makes a big difference when one of them shows up, but on the other hand, there are times when such names leave. We might be seeing that again rather soon.

According to Fightful Select by way of 411mania.com, Mark Henry’s contract with AEW expires before the end of the month. At the moment, it is unclear if the two sides have spoken about signing a new deal. Henry has served as a broadcaster and backstage interviewer in AEW but he has not appeared on an AEW television show in months. He has also been working behind the scenes as a mentor and scout.

Henry has done some things in AEW. Check out his time with the company:

Opinion: This is an interesting situation as Henry is a prominent name but he hasn’t been around AEW TV for a good while now. It would make sense for him to have some kind of role in AEW as he is a veteran presence and someone who can help quite a bit. At the same time, maybe AEW does not see as much value in him, which could see things going in either direction.

What do you think of Henry’s time in AEW? Should AEW re-sign him? Let us know in the comments below.
