Ouch: Wrestling Legend Slams SmackDown Star, Would Fire All But Two WWE Women

That would be extreme. Wrestling today is nothing close to what it was twenty years ago. The industry has completely changed with several aspects being nothing close to what it was before. This includes women’s wrestling, which has gone from little more than a side show to one of the focal points of WWE’s product. However, one wrestling legend has a certain thought process on modern WWE women’s wrestling and it’s rather different.

During a recent edition of the Smack Talk podcast, wrestling legend Dutch Mantel criticized Tegan Nox’s return to WWE, saying she was unsure of herself. Mantel did say that the issue could have been attributed to ring rust but was not impressed with Nox’s armdrags. He also said that he would fire everyone in the division, save for Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, only to hire them back five minutes later, just to show that he could.

Nox didn’t seem to impress Mantel. Check out what she has done in WWE:

Opinion: This is one of those situations where a legend is not exactly happy with what he is seeing, but WWE itself might be. Nox is someone who has shown promise before, but she has not wrestled in the last year and a half. Maybe she needs to shake off some ring rust, but she has also not exactly looked terrible in the ring. I’m not sure what is next for Nox in WWE, though it is nice to have her back in any form.
