The pre-control stage. One of the most talked about stories in wrestling so far this year has been Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff taking the reins of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live respectively. The two of them have some very different histories in wrestling and fans were interested in seeing how they took control of their new shows. It turns out that there might be a bit of a delay.
According to Dave Meltzer on Figure Four Daily, Bischoff had no input in this week’s episode of SmackDown Live and was not even present for the show. There is no word why this is the case though there is no reason to believe that Bischoff is in any sort of trouble. Bischoff has been in the process of relocating his family to Connecticut to begin his new position. At the moment, it is not clear when he will be starting.
You remember Bischoff right? Check out some people talking about him:
Opinion: My guess is that Bischoff just isn’t ready to start working yet but you can’t imagine it is going to be that much longer. Heyman had an advantage on him by not having to change much in order to get to WWE headquarters. It’s a different world for Bischoff so the slightly longer transition time is expected. Hopefully he shows up soon and the shows get a little better.
Who do you think will do better in their role? When will Bischoff start his job? Let us know in the comments below.
