It’s kind of messy. After so many years of WWE dominating the wrestling universe, at least in North America, the rise of AEW has changed quite a few things. One of the biggest of them all is giving wrestlers another place to go, but the interesting part is that it goes the other way. That appears to be the case again sooner than later, but now it is going in a bit of a complicated direction.

One of the biggest wrestling stories of the week has been the possibility of the Lucha Bros, Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo, leaving AEW and coming to WWE later this year. This included a report that Penta had been heading to Orlando, Florida earlier this week, though Penta has since denied the story. According to Fightful by way of 411mania.com, Penta has been telling people that his AEW deal has already expired, though there is a chance that AEW could add more time onto it due to injuries. It is not clear when Fenix’s contract expires, though it is believed to be near the end of the year.

The team is quite good. Check out the Lucha Bros in AEW:
Opinion: This is one of the more intriguing stories going in wrestling at the moment but it would not surprise me at all to see the Bros in WWE sooner than later. Right now it seems to be the direction we are taking and I am curious to see how they are brought in, assuming it takes place. They are an incredibly talented team and having them in WWE would only be a boost for the promotion.
