He might be done. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that the company has had to split them up into different groups. That is the kind of thing that can result in some interesting changes, as a wrestler jumping from one show to another can be a big deal. Last weekend at NXT Deadline, Dominik Mysterio lost the NXT North American Title to Dragon Lee. Since the loss, WWE has updated the banner on WWE.com’s NXT page, with Lee replacing Mysterio. While not confirmed, this could suggest that Mysterio will either not be featured as prominently on NXT, or may be done with the show entirely. Mysterio did not appear on this week’s edition of NXT but did appear on Monday Night Raw as usual.
Leave the memories alone. Check out Mysterio’s time in NXT:
Opinion: This is a bit of a bittersweet moment, as Mysterio did some very nice work with the title, but he feels like he has outgrown it a bit. The story has reached its conclusion and having Mysterio on the main shows more often than not is a good idea. Lee is a very nice choice for a successor and now we get to see where things go, possibly even without the rather talented Mysterio.
