No more? There are often rapid changes to a wrestling roster, as wrestlers come and go at any given point. Sometimes a wrestler might leave a promotion when their contract expires and there is nothing for them to do in the promotion. That might not be a bad thing, but now we might be seeing it again after what could have been the start of something big had it gone in a different way.

According to PWInsider.com, Brian Pillman Jr. has been removed from the AEW roster page. While it is not for certain, this likely means that Pillman Jr. is gone from the team. Pillman Jr. spent most of his time in AEW in a tag team with Griff Garrison, collectively known as the Varsity Athletes. Pillman Jr.’s most recent match for AEW came on May 13, though he has since wrestled on the independent circuit.

Opinion: This feels like a situation where the two sides just moved apart as Pillman Jr. was not really used for the last several months. If he is not going to be out there wrestling and AEW has no interest in keeping him in the ring, let things move on. Pillman Jr. is a talented guy but maybe he needs to go elsewhere to really hone his craft and make his name outside of the big stage.
