Good start. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world today but they all have one thing in common: they had to start somewhere. Every wrestler has had their first match and that can go in a variety of ways. In addition, there are several first time milestones that can be game changers for a wrestler’s career. We have now seen someone with all kinds of potential reach one of those milestones.

Earlier this week at the NXT television tapings, Tamyra Mensah-Stock made her televised in-ring debut in a match that will air later this week. Mensah-Stock is a former Olympic gold medal winning freestyle wrestler, winning her medal at the 2021 Summer Games. She joined WWE last year and made her in-ring debut at a live event in Melbourne, Florida on March 30.

Opinion: It is way too early to tell how this is going to go, but there is the chance that this could wind up being the start of something special. Mensah-Stock certainly has the athletic background to make this work and now we get to see what she can do when she actually gets in the ring. She has a very long way to go, but at least she is officially getting her start.
