Earlier this month, a report came out suggesting that Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar was possible for WrestleMania 39. According to Xero News on Twitter, there has been at least some small discussion of having Lesnar defeat Gunther, the reigning Intercontinental Champion, for the title, which would be the first of Lesnar’s career. There are some who feel this would help boost up the midcard titles, as WWE has been attempting to do in recent months. The match has yet to be announced and Gunther and Lesnar have had no interactions.
There has been atleast some small talk of having Brock Lesnar win the Intercontinental Championship from Gunther at WrestleMania.
Whilst this cannot be confirmed to be 100% happening, some feel it is fresh and adds to what they are doing with the mid card titles.

It would be a showdown. Check out what might be happening:
Opinion: I get the thinking here, but if WWE wants to have the title look important, having Gunther face Lesnar and then defeat him to retain would do just as well. At the same time, having Gunther beat Lesnar would enhance the title even more. Lesnar winning the title and then put it into the deep freeze isn’t going to do much good, but that has not stopped WWE from doing it before.
What do you think of the idea? Should Lesnar win the title? Let us know in the comments below.
